However, I will not dwell on the negative.
I go into this new year more determined than ever to accomplish my dream of living in Paris. I am not setting any goals or even saying that the move will occur in 2014, only that I will spend this year readying myself for the move.
I don't believe in making New Year resolutions, mainly because people rarely keep them. I will be making plans instead.
2014 Plans:
- Continue studying French
- By improving my French, I improve my chances of finding a job and making a smooth transition when I move
- Job Searching
- TESOL Certification
I hereby declare 2014 as the Year of Me!
Happy New Year! You will get there because you keep working and focused. It took me 3 years of planning, dreaming, researching before I made the move, and I had way less going on that you do, so do not despair. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I used to research France when I was first looking at Europe and I also wanted to teach English. I was told that CELTA (not TESOL) is the gold standard for ENglish teaching, and that it will get you further, and can mean a bit more pay. Not sure if that's changed, but thought I'd mention it.
Thank you
